Stress as you know is a killer. It prevents us from being our most effective selves, and it destroys our well-being.
Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) program is a meditation based program for learning healthier ways of confronting life's challenges resulting in a reduction of the amount of stress in one's life. It is NOT A STRESS MANAGEMENT technique. Over time one notices that things that use to stress them don't do so as much or at all any more.
It can be especially helpful to those who experience: anxiety and depression; chronic pain and illness; cardiac disease; the demands of care giving; life threatening illness; grief; spiritual emptiness and difficulty finding balance in current cultural lifestyles. Mindfulness practice teaches us to break old harmful patterns and develop positive attitudes and healthy behaviors. It is the practice of living more fully present in each moment.
This course is modelled on the program developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and is guided by Lou Carcasole, (B.Sc., MBA, M.Ed.) who began practicing Mindfulness in 1987, trained with Kabat-Zinn, and has been teaching it for over ten years.

Whether you want to perform at a higher level or learn how to cope with stress, pain and suffering - this course is for you.

MBSR 8-week course starts on Wednesday, October 7th at 7:30 pm.

  • Nose, ear and throat problems: tonsillitis, otitis, pharyngitis
  • Skin problems: dermatitis, acne
  • Sexual dysfunction disorders
There are many different forms of treatment available. Take a look on relevant treatment options and their benefits:

1. Iontophoresis
Iontophoresis is an alternative drug delivery system. By applying a low-level electrical current to a similarly charged drug solution, iontophoresis repels the drug ions through the skin to the underlying tissue. Iontophoresis is widely used for treating acute or sub-acute inflammatory conditions and acute flare-ups of chronic inflammatory conditions.

2. Laser Therapy: Quant Therapy
The goal of laser therapy is to deliver light energy units from infrared laser radiation, called photons, to damaged cells. The consensus of experts is that photons absorbed by the cells thought laser therapy stimulate the mitochondria to accelerate production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This biochemical compound composed of adenine, the sugar ribose, and three phosphate groups increase in cell energy is used to transform live cells from a state of illness to a stable, healthy state.

3. Ultrasound Therapy
Ultrasound therapy uses high-frequency sound waves to produce heat that:
  • Reduces pain
  • Speeds metabolism and improves circulation
  • Breaks up and softens scar tissue and adhesions
  • Reduces chronic inflammation or swelling
  • Reduces irritation to nerve roots
  • Enhances the body's natural healing process
4. Shortwave Therapy
Shortwave therapy is the therapeutic application of high frequency electrical energy in either the electromagnetic or electrical field, commonly referred to as "diathermy" which is known for its heating effects. Vasodilation, increased circulation, increased out-flow of lymph, increased removal of waste products, relaxation of spastic muscles and an overall reduction of pain are attributed to therapeutic heat. Shortwave therapy facilitates exactly dosed and localized haeting of tissue areas both close to the surface and at depth.

5. Bioresonance Therapy: BRT
Bio resonance therapy is the correction of body's functions under influence of electromagnetic oscillations of strictly determined parameters, similarly to a camerton replying to a certain frequency spectrum of an acoustic wave. The main idea of applying resonance in medicine is that by a correct selection of frequency and a form of medicinal electromagnetic influence it's possible to amplify a normal physiological and attenuate pathological oscillation of the human body.

6. Acupuncture
Needling the acupuncture points stimulates the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord and brain. These chemicals will either change the experience of pain or they will trigger the release of other chemicals and hormones which influence the body's own internal regulating system. The improved energy and biochemical balance produced by acupuncture results in stimulating the body's natural healing abilities and in promoting physical and emotional well-being.

7. Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a safe and effective system of natural healing that has been verified experimentally and clinically in the everyday lives of millions of people around the world for over 200 years. Homeopathy is a system of medicine which is based on the principle of similars or 'like cures like'. If a substance can cause symptoms in a healthy person, then it can also treat and remove similar symptoms in a sick person.
