Introduction to the 8 Weeks Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Program
The program consists of 8 sessions, lasting between 1.5-2 hours and focuses on letting go of resistance towards life challenges and building resilience to stressful stimuli.
What does really cause pain in our lives? Most would think that it is something happening around that negatively affects us (that nosy neighbor on the street, that car that run me over today, that government increasing taxes, etc.)
But mindfulness states the opposite: what actually causes stress and pain in our lives is a resistance!
Have you ever wondered how it is like to live a life without resistance? Can you only imagine being resilient to physical pain, or that unpleasant feedback given at work, or that painful word said to you by a family member? It is all possible!
Mindfulness can help us drastically change our stereotypical/conditioned reactions to the outside world and bring joy to our relationships.
Current research on Mindfulness shows evidence that this practice can not only reduce stress, but also change the brain "wiring" and help people become happier!
