The Art of Life's Booth at Toronto's Total Health Show 2016 was a Great Success

More than 700 people visited our both at the Total Health Show 2016 and 73 people participated in the lucky draw for free treatments and 3 winners were randomly chosen Sunday at 4 pm. That was quite an event, since one of the winners was right there to claim the prize!

The past three days at the Total Health Show, which was held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre were filled with exciting meetings, exchanging of information, and exposure to innovative treatments, observations of health field trends, trying on-the-spot diagnostics, and tasting some healthy foods.

More than 700 people visited our both and we had a chance to hear their health concerns, offer sample treatments and consultations, interact with other vendors and observe live all the diverse sides of what is healthcare is all about.

Our President Lyudmila Panasenko, was one of four selected vendors who gave a live interview to the International Broadcasting and she spoke so passionately about our health centre and how it is unique and pioneering in the alternative methods medicine, with rooted foundation on the traditional medicine. Some partnerships fostered during the show!

From our visitors, 73 people participated in the lucky draw for free treatments and 3 winners were randomly chosen Sunday at 4 pm. That was quite an event, since one of the winners was right there to claim the prize!

Our show team had a chance to practice their health knowledge, support our clients and each other, and warmth and friendship filled the atmosphere during all three days of the show. Every aspect of participation in the show was smooth, well-planned and efficient. Well done!

We also would like to thank the organizers of the Total Health Show, especially Helen, Mary, Antonio and Debbie for their professionalism and prompt exhibitors service. We felt extremely welcomed and supported.

Today, one day after the show, we already welcomed a new client to our Community Health Centre who learned about us at the Show.

Cold feet, edema, varicose, pain? Other circulatory disorders? We can help

Poster The Art of Life: Cold feet, edema, varicose, pain?
Other circulatory disorders? We can help

The circulatory system also known as cardiovascular system consists of heart, blood vessels, and blood. This system is responsible for circulating blood to our organs. Blood carries oxygen, nutrients, and collects cellular waste products and CO2 throughout our body. Our circulatory system is powered by our heart.

A circulatory disorder is any disorder or condition that affects the circulatory system. Circulatory disorders can arise from problems with the heart, blood vessels or the blood itself. Disorders of the circulatory system generally result in diminished flow of blood and oxygen supply to the tissues. Problems of the circulatory system are common and can be serious. Taking care of our circulatory system is crucial while any irregularities can affect directly or indirectly a specific organ or your body as a whole.

There are variety causes of circulatory problems such as: aging, smoking, alcohol consumption, diabetes mellitus, high cholesterol, varicose veins, and lack of exercise, general muscle weakness. In general all those causes form 5 groups: traumatic, compressive, occlusive, tumours/malformations and spasm of the artery, which diminishes its diameter and so, the blood flow.

Circulatory problems may occur more commonly in individuals with certain diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, or kidney failure, or in dialysis patients. Occupational exposure (vibrating tools, cold) can be a factor, and smoking also can aggravate and cause circulatory disease.

Some of the most common symptoms of poor circulation would include:
  • cold feet and toes (not only during winter)
  • cold hands and finger
  • pain and cold intolerance
  • colour changes in the fingertips
  • numbing or tingling sensation in the limbs
  • ulcers which do not heal
  • oedema, swelling and water retention (especially in the feet)
Although we know that weight management, a healthy diet rich in omega 3 and vitamin E, intravenous vitamin injections, regular exercise and not smoking can help circulatory disorders but patients with severe problems may require surgery.

In a lot of cases patients cure may be given by physiotherapy, exercise and massage; compression therapy (lymphatic drainage; oxygen therapy; combined infrared and electromagnetic therapy; gentle vibration (chi-machine) therapy and other natural approaches to improve blood flow, heal tissue and relieve pain, inflammation and fatigue.

We recommend Infrared Body Wrap and Compression Therapy, in order to reduce symptoms and improve circulation.

The result of Infrared Therapy will:
  • enhance blood flow by increasing the temperature in the targeted organ
  • increase the diameter of the vessel by relaxing the smooth muscle in the blood vessel wall which in return enhance the blood flow
  • boost the metabolism in the affected organ which also increase the blood flow
The professional medical device of the Compression Therapy or Lymphatic Drainage:
  • applies gradual pressure to muscles and veins to help the optimal blood flow
  • pushes back and returns the fluids into veins and lymphatic vessels
  • massages the limbs starting from toes and comes up step by step to the upper limbs
  • decreases heart contraction by helping blood flow back to the heart
By using both Infrared and Compression Therapy at the same session of treatment will help your limbs have more blood flow carrying more nutrients and oxygen while preventing swelling and edema.

That combination will help with the following problems:
  • Tiered legs, lymphedema, edema after sitting or standing for some time
  • Tiered legs secondary to venous insufficiency and lower limb Edema
  • Cold hands and feet & general muscle weakness
  • Varicose veins & Prevention of deep vein thrombosis
  • Vascular insufficiency due to early stage of Diabetes
  • Muscle spasms, myalgia, fibromyalgia, contracture and more.
Getting the right treatments for your problem will bring you back to healthy and active life.

Do you suffer from back, neck, or joint pain?
How to Treat Joint Pain

This is part two of an article Do you suffer from back, neck, or joint pain? A comprehensive natural approach will help to treat and prevent it.  (Click here for part one: Possible Causes of Joint Pain.)

How to Treat Joint Pain

After professional diagnosis of patients' problems at The Art of Life, our team of doctors will create a treatment plan, designed to eliminate the root causes of the illness that cause the discomfort. This approach provides fast and stable results.

The use of natural medications will be recommended. In some cases the use of mesotherapy, anti-inflammatory, anesthetic or vitamin injections into hypodermic layer may be prescribed for fast and steady results. Intravenous injections or vitamin IV’s, or natural preparations may be also recommended for good outcomes.

All the aforementioned will accelerate the process of recovery and will cleanse your body from toxins, as well as strengthen nervous, cardiovascular, and immune systems.

Massage and Acupuncture
Often when a disease goes to the acute stage, acupuncture and massage can be helpful. Massage is a powerful tool to skeletal disorders if it is performed by professionals and is optimally customized for each patient. In some cases, massage is necessary for removal of spasms, toxins, strained muscles, or for better blood circulation.

One of the most helpful and rare methods of massage is Matrix Repatterning which is a powerful tool in the healing process. There are different types of massage available depending on the specific needs of the patient.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy also plays an important role in treating arthritis, arthrosis, gout and osteochondrosis. Manual adjustment is crucial, as well as modern physiotherapy equipment.

Modern Physiotherapy Equipment

Magnetic and Infrared Therapy
Magnetic and infrared therapy allows the removal of inflammation on a cellular level and increases the cellular metabolism. Electrotherapeutic equipment promotes wound healing, removes adhesive inflamed tissue, restores ligaments, regenerates intervertebral disks, and effectively eliminates pain.

Shock Wave Therapy
Radial Shockwave therapy (RSWT) eliminates calcification deposits in bones, joints, and tendons tissue, resulting in the elimination of chronic muscular pain, improves cellular metabolism and tissue rejuvenation. This type of healing replaces surgery and only requires 3-5 sessions for full recovery. This only works if the equipment used is genuine and not an inferior simulator which did not undergo the required clinical trials.

“The Art of Life” Center of natural medicine has a range of state of art equipment, such as infrared, ultrasonic with vacuum, 3-D interferential current and laser therapy to support every patient’s healing needs.

We have described only a few kinds of treatments available at the Center.

The Art of Life's Services

Services offered in our clinic will allow you to:
• cure pain and inflammation around joint tissue and restore joint mobility
• improve lymph, blood & oxygen circulation, strengthen vascular walls
• improve functions of peripheral nervous system and regeneration of nervous tissue

• supply body with minerals, vitamins, and amino acids
• strengthen immunity by means of natural supplements
• detoxify your body even on a cellular level
• provide deep relaxation of nervous system

As a result of these treatments your physical and emotional health will be restored.
You will experience more positive moods, and greater physical and emotional balance and harmony.

Introducing Our New Doctor Tara Tweg, DC

Photo: Doctor Tara Tweg, Doctor of Chiropractic (DC)
My name is Dr. Tara Tweg. I was born and raised in Toronto. I have been practicing Chiropractic for over 20 years in Australia and Ontario.

For the last ten years, I have predominately been dealing with patients that have been injured in motor vehicle accidents. I recently became certified by the American Medical Association in Impairment Ratings.

I practice a combination of Diversified, Activator Technique, Trigger Point Therapy, and S.O.T. (sacro-occipital technique). S.O.T. is so named because of the relationship between the Sacrum (base of the spine) and the Occiput (base of the skull). It uses wedge shaped blocks to realign the spine. There are only a few certified practitioners of S.O.T. in Ontario.

Cranialsacral massage was derived from Sacro-Occipital Technique. This is a gentle form of body work appropriate for evaluating and treating a wide variety of soft tissue and neurological issues for newborns, children, and adults.

I prefer to diagnose and identify the cause of a problem, address the root of the trouble, and not merely treat the symptoms. People who suffer from headaches/migraines, back pain, jaw pain, fibromyalgia, chronic pain syndrome, stiff necks and other joint pains can all benefit.

I look forward to working with you to achieve your health goals at The Art of Life Community Health Centre.
