The Wellness Show and Exceptional Experience

Poster: North York General's Patient- and Family-Centred Care Definition
Poster: North York General's Patient- and Family-Centred Care Definition
At North York General, Patient & Family Centred Care means: 1) Partnering with you and your family (as defined by you); 2) Respecting you; 3) Listening to you; 4) Informing you; and 5) Supporting you to make the best decisions about your care. Putting you and your family first in everything we do.

Great Opportunity for Our Community Health Centre to Form Partnerships

During last week, our team had a pleasure to participate in the North York General Hospital and Branson Ambulatory Care Centre Employee wellness show.

It was an exceptional experience where traditional and alternative medicine came together to learn, experience and explore.

Our team, our nurses, our doctors interacted with highly professional clientele from hospitals and lots of grounds were covered raising awareness of alternative and innovative approaches to similar health concerns.

It was impressive to witness how healthcare sector is focused on health! It is highly engaging, genuinely concerned about own employees and their well-being, and a lot of effort put into promotion of prevention and maintenance of healthy lifestyle.

This was a great opportunity for our community health centre to form partnerships with different representatives that will allow to achieve common goals, such as public active healthcare awareness, prevention, maintenance, and promotion.

We look forward to more partnerships in the future!

Thank You for Coming to Our Booth at Total Health and Making It a Success!

Art of Life Community Health Centre at Total Health Show

Metro Toronto Convention Centre, April 8-10, 2016

The Art of Life's Booth at Toronto's Total Health Show 2016 was a Great Success

More than 700 people visited our both at the Total Health Show 2016 and 73 people participated in the lucky draw for free treatments and 3 winners were randomly chosen Sunday at 4 pm. That was quite an event, since one of the winners was right there to claim the prize!

The past three days at the Total Health Show, which was held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre were filled with exciting meetings, exchanging of information, and exposure to innovative treatments, observations of health field trends, trying on-the-spot diagnostics, and tasting some healthy foods.

More than 700 people visited our both and we had a chance to hear their health concerns, offer sample treatments and consultations, interact with other vendors and observe live all the diverse sides of what is healthcare is all about.

Our President Lyudmila Panasenko, was one of four selected vendors who gave a live interview to the International Broadcasting and she spoke so passionately about our health centre and how it is unique and pioneering in the alternative methods medicine, with rooted foundation on the traditional medicine. Some partnerships fostered during the show!

From our visitors, 73 people participated in the lucky draw for free treatments and 3 winners were randomly chosen Sunday at 4 pm. That was quite an event, since one of the winners was right there to claim the prize!

Our show team had a chance to practice their health knowledge, support our clients and each other, and warmth and friendship filled the atmosphere during all three days of the show. Every aspect of participation in the show was smooth, well-planned and efficient. Well done!

We also would like to thank the organizers of the Total Health Show, especially Helen, Mary, Antonio and Debbie for their professionalism and prompt exhibitors service. We felt extremely welcomed and supported.

Today, one day after the show, we already welcomed a new client to our Community Health Centre who learned about us at the Show.

Introduction to the 8 Weeks Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Program

The program consists of 8 sessions, lasting between 1.5-2 hours and focuses on letting go of resistance towards life challenges and building resilience to stressful stimuli.

What does really cause pain in our lives? Most would think that it is something happening around that negatively affects us (that nosy neighbor on the street, that car that run me over today, that government increasing taxes, etc.)

But mindfulness states the opposite: what actually causes stress and pain in our lives is a resistance!

Have you ever wondered how it is like to live a life without resistance? Can you only imagine being resilient to physical pain, or that unpleasant feedback given at work, or that painful word said to you by a family member? It is all possible!

Mindfulness can help us drastically change our stereotypical/conditioned reactions to the outside world and bring joy to our relationships.

Current research on Mindfulness shows evidence that this practice can not only reduce stress, but also change the brain "wiring" and help people become happier!

Check out this brief video on Mindfulness and research done by Professor and neuroscientist Richard Davidson.

How Vitamin and Mineral Intravenous Therapy Benefit Your Health

Nourish Your Health through
IV Vitamin and Mineral Therapy

The beginning of the fall is a great time to prepare you for being healthy, active and happy through the long winter season.

There is no doubt that our bodies need essential amounts of vitamins and minerals to stay healthy, energetic and to be protected from stress, toxicity or any kind of infection.

In many health conditions, people are not able to consume a sufficient quantity of vitamins and minerals with the diet or with oral intake of supplements. As a result of the deficiency of certain necessary nutrients, a variety of medical problems may arise.

IV (intravenous) Vitamin and Mineral Therapy

Intravenous vitamin and mineral therapy is well known and successfully used for more than sixty years all over the world: however, a lot of people are not aware that their medical problems can be solved rapidly and effectively with only a few sessions of intravenous injections.

Benefits of Intravenous Vitamin/Mineral Therapy

IV vitamin and mineral therapy can be beneficial for the following conditions:
  • - Low immune system or autoimmune diseases
  • - Chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia
  • - Chronic depression
  • - Hypertension
  • - Tension or migraine headaches
  • - Acute or chronic muscle spasm
  • - Allergy
  • - Malnutrition
  • - Cardio-vascular or respiratory problems
  • - Asthma or bronchitis
  • - Acute viral diseases or infections
  • - Addiction, physical or emotional stress
  • - Cancer, toxicity, hepatitis, mono diseases and others.
Using Intravenous Vitamin and Mineral Treatment

When we need a fast recovery, our digestive system very often cannot tolerate a high dosage of oral intake of vitamins and minerals, which might even cause additional problem for the stomach or intestine.

As an alternative, the direct infusion of vital nutrition straight into the bloodstream would give immediate help and a long-lasting result.

For example, to release the spasm which may cause high blood pressure, asthma attack, or tension headache, our digestive system might not tolerate a high quantity of magnesium, because that would cause a badly upset stomach. On the other hand, using an IV treatment involving IV magnesium will give fast release of the spasm.

Similarly, with respect to Chelation Therapy treatment for the cancer patient, or a Vitamin C infusion for the boost of the immune system, large amounts of the indicated substances cannot be tolerated by the digestive system. Occasionally, too, medicinal substances become inactive or might not be well-absorbed by the digestive system.

However, the highest efficacy will be achieved by the direct administering of nutrients into the blood stream. There is a variety of combinations of vitamins and minerals that might be extremely helpful for different conditions: some of these are Mayer’s Cocktail, B and C vitamins, magnesium, etc.

Glutathione and Your Health

Definitely worth mentioning here is one of the most efficient nutrients, glutathione. This nutrient can be intravenously infused on its own, or in a specially-prepared combination of ingredients. The glutathione molecule consists of three amino acids, present in the majority of the cells in our body. Its existence is mandatory in maintaining the normal function of the immune system, because it plays a critical role in the reproduction of lymphocytes; these in turn are responsible for the effective function of the immune system.

Since the cells of the immune system influence the level of the antioxidants in most cells, glutathione plays a vital role in the protection of the well-being of our body.
