Keyboard Is My Profession or the Best Treatment for Your Pain, Part 2

The Art of Life Best Treatment For Pain, Radial Shock Waves Therapy, TorontoKeyboard - Is My Profession,
or the best treatment for your pain
2008 @ TheArtOfLifeCenter.blogspot.com

This is a continuation of the very inspiring story.
The physiotherapist at The Art of Life, in response to my skepticism regarding healing in only three procedures, told me that my case was quite optimistic and suggested that the fourth procedure would be free if the first three would not help. Healing is precisely x-ray controlled before and after the procedures. I was tremendously surprised by the professionalism "in the country of Dilettanti". The whole treatment was not cheap, however it was 3 – 5 times cheaper than in other places, and obviously much less expensive than a trip to Switzerland.

This Centre impressed me with other extraordinary things. I determined to give it a try. My three week treatment ended on December, 18th. As a family tradition we spend Christmas in the mountains skiing. That year I did not even dare to think about it. My doctor had laughed at me on this occasion saying: "Afterwards, please, come to share your results. Why not give it a try? Radial Shock Wave Therapy is still relatively new in Canada and patients, being rather conservative, need your confirmation."

I enjoyed skiing just like years before and came back happy and suntanned. My colleagues were stunned by the changes that had happened regarding my appearance. There were no special reasons in my life for those changes; I was just not an invalid any more.

To tell you the truth, I came back to The Art of Life Centre. Of course I wanted to share my skiing experiences and secondly I wanted to try an infrared wrap in combination with the compression therapy on the lower part of my body. During the period of my illness I gained a lot of weight as I did not care. Now, feeling uplifted, I wanted to look great, which meant to get my body back into good shape! The excellent equipment and professionalism of the employees at The Art of Life has inspired me to continue striving for excellence and share with you my results.

Keyboard Is My Profession or the Best Treatment for Your Pain, Part 1

Keyboard - Is My Profession,
or the best treatment for your pain
2008 @ TheArtOfLifeCenter.blogspot.com
I inherited a whimsical gene combination from my parents. My mother, a refined amateur of music, theatre, paintings, and ballet, lived in an illusory world, in my opinion. Therefore I was taught non-practical things in my childhood – a history of arts, baroque music, ballroom dance, ancient Greece myths, and other nonsense. I absorbed everything with pleasure. However when I grew up my father took over my upbringing. A young professor, PhD in Technical Sciences, he liked everything exclusively practical, and was able to explain to a young lady like me, that even cute ones had to know how to put a piece of bread on the table; hence it would be better to obtain a technical education. Father’s genes turned out brilliant too. As in Tsvetaeva’s poetry:"I happened to be a good granddaughter for both grandmothers: both a skilled labourer and a softie”

This potentially explosive combination I had to refresh in Canada, to reshuffle and reapply in a new way. Virtuoso piano playing and my technical background helped me to master the computer keyboard easily and learn a few computer programming languages. To my surprise, I found a job in no time and developed a career. The relationship with my new colleagues was excellent and my salary rate was gradually progressing. Soon after, we bought a house and were decorating it with all our knowledge of the Décor...

Misfortune came unexpectedly – the pain in my hand from occasional became more and more persistent. Pretty soon my pain was quite severe – I couldn’t sleep at night. Within six months I looked like a disabled person: always sleepy, absent-minded and in gloomy mood. My coworkers started avoiding me, worse than that I could not work. I tried to shift the job load onto my left hand, nevertheless I cried because of pain each and every night.

After a visit to my G. P. [General Practitioner], I bought an elbow support, as I happen to be diagnosed with a complicated disease – carpal tunnel syndrome in combination with a tennis elbow. This is a case where a treatment decision can be difficult to choose. The elbow support did not cure my elbow, but slowed down the progress of my illness.

I was referred to a specialist who had explained to me two possible alternatives: a change of profession or a series of surgeries on my right hand. I was devastated: it is not possible to change one’s profession. What else could I do? Be a teacher of music? But it’s a keyboard again! "Oh, God, this is the way people become fatalists," I thought. Surgery was definitely not an option for me as the doctor could not guarantee anything.

Thank Goodness for the existing classmates’s web site. My classmates are all over the world now. I issued a call about treatment of my carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow and received information in three days from Zurich. In Switzerland they have physiotherapeutic equipment, approved for Olympic athletes, that by Radial Acoustic Shock Waves breaks calcinations and heals inflammation around the joint’s groove and ligaments after only three procedures! "Sounds like a fairytale" whispered genes on my Mom's side. "I was ready to register disability papers, but now I can be healthy in two-three weeks and see the sights of Switzerland". The genes on my Father’s side were alerted by the fact that it sounded "too good to be true". I decided to search through the internet the testimonies of former patients that already have tried this fantastic equipment. This illness is a very common one these days; therefore patients already might have tried the Radial Shock Waves Therapy.

Simultaneously I made two discoveries! First of all I found patients in Canada who had successfully recovered. There have been few examples of uses of these devices already in Toronto. Secondly, none of the testimonies contained any negative information! The rest was easy: to compare the equipment technical features and the prices. The Art of Life Medical Centre had the best device features and prices, and the name of the Centre was really intriguing. Was that a triple coincidence?
A continuation of our patient’s story is in the next post.

Testimonials: Choose Youth, Good Spirits and Health

The Art Of Life: Choose Youth, Good Spirits And Health, by Galina KyreyevaChoose the youth + chose the art of life!!!
The ART of LIFE Natural Health Centre
Choose Youth, Good Spirits and Health!

by Galina Kyreyeva

Introduction: Testimonials
My desire to share the results of treatment in the Natural Health Centre "The Art of Life" had dawned upon me after conversation with the patients that were resting like all of us after the procedures in a cozy waiting room by the aquarium. Home-like relaxed atmosphere favoured 'accidentally' met people to a friendly chat. Instead of a typical conversation about health problems, everyone was eager to share their success stories after visiting the Centre. Following are the stories of the patients that I happened to come across that day:

Inna B., 76 years old.
"At my age I’ve got a problem - my legs become tired and swollen in no time. Half an hour standing was my limit, afterwards I needed a prolonged rest. I had almost had accepted the situation sentencing myself to irreversible health changes. Anyhow, life is full of wonders!
I happen to read a newspaper about European physiotherapy that is widely used in the Art of Life Centre – compression therapy which precisely helps with different kinds of edemas. Being skeptical by nature, I still decided to try. And here is my result! After five sessions we went for a walk with my granddaughter for four hours and stopped only once to have a drink. Next time I came for a procedure in a better mood and trusting the specialists. My expectations had come true. I can say with assurance, that my whole body underwent improvement, not only concerning my legs. I feel sound, vigorous, and younger. I even wished for alterations and decided to change curtains at home. It is only my sixth session! What is to be expected after perhaps a dozen?!"

Olga B., 51 years old
"For my high-end boutique with ladies fashion clothing – I always have to be in a good mood and look great. Sometimes it is very difficult to be optimistic and cheerful by the end of the day; my feet are 'burning' and my thoughts are only preoccupied with after work relaxation. My girlfriend has suggested to me to visit the Centre which specializes in swollen leg problems by means of new European technology. So, I decided to try, with nothing to loose.
I could not even imagine that equipment for ladies in need is so accessible. The naturopathic doctor had recommended me thermo and compression therapy combination, taking into consideration the specific character of my work and slight overweight. Right after a few sessions results were noticeable not only for me but for my friends and acquaintances. My clients were first to ask what did I do to look so great and to loose so much weight. The secret is very simple – The Art of Life! It is most important for me that I feel better not only physically but psychologically too. And there is no magic…F"

Tatiana R., 45 years old
"Several years ago I underwent a serious operation, since then I had a constantly swollen hand. Whatever I tried a swollen hand persisted and lymphatic nodes were painful to the point that I could not even sleep. By taking lymph and compression therapy I finally got rid of discomfort and pain in my hand and armpits. My hand is not as good as it was before the operation, but I can say with confidence that it will definitely be as it was before in the near future."

Are you surprised? I feel the same. It happens to be very simple – contemporary technology and science are devoted to our health. During that friendly chat I was resting after the massage, the variety of which is superb and the effect is excellent. Afterward I decided to try compression therapy and infrared wrap. I would like to share with you my impressions. Right after the first session I no longer felt fatigue for the whole week. I felt a burst of energy and cheerfulness. It seemed like a second wind. During the second session I received not only compression therapy but thermotherapy in addition. Unexpectedly for me, though the staff had acquainted me with the healing effects of the procedure, my chronic arthritis had reacted positively. I felt lightness in my movements, constant pain had drastically decreased, and my spirits were uplifted. When undergoing thermotherapy I imagined myself on a sunny beach by the ocean. Moreover, the external effect was tremendous. My figure had slimmed; a smile had refreshed my face. There is a reason that people say:" You look the way you feel." Thus I have lost some weight and look three years younger. I wish you the same!

Thermotherapy: Choose Youth, Good Spirits and Health

Choose the youth + chose the art of life!!!
Part 1: Choose Youth, Good Spirits and Health!
by Galina Kyreyeva

Part 1: Thermotherapy
Here is some information that for me, a physicist seems very important. Infrared radiation – the part of the sunlight spectrum, that is invisible to the human eye –happens to be the main source of energy for our Earth. Healing with warm light has been known from ancient times, but equipment that heals in a proper range of frequencies has appeared relatively recently. They use the range of infrared radiation that heals the most and corresponds with the natural body radiation; hence is not harmful to the human’s body. That is the device that is used in The Art of Life. It allows the setting of different temperatures and lengths of time on different parts of the body that enables to use it with medical, cosmetic, and preventative purposes; therefore creating an individual and optimal approach to each patient. Infrared radiation penetrates into your body as deep as 4cm, thus increasing its temperature. It is definitely a specific soft heat that calms and relaxes. Infrared radiation penetrates into every part of the body – tissues, organs, muscles, bones, and joints. While increasing the overall body’s temperature we increase the blood flow and other fluids circulation in the body; consequently improving the cells’ metabolism, nourishment of tissues, oxygen supply, and strengthening of the immune system.

Even deep “dry” heat is indispensable for the treatment of rheumatism, arthritis and other chronic diseases. Application of thermotherapy is also recommended for back pain relief. These procedures are effective for kidney diseases and catarrhal illnesses. Besides that, therapeutic influence of infrared heat helps to regenerate the skin. That is why it is recommended for skin diseases as well.

It is interesting to know that warming up the body causes sweating; during this procedure the temperature reaches only 40 – 60C, which is completely not stressful for the body. It should be noted that the amount of sweat discharged during the half hour procedure exceeds twice – thrice the same sauna index at 110C during the same period of time.

Due to improved blood circulation, metabolism activation, and intensive sweating, detoxification and waste substances, such as fat, cholesterol, toxins, acids, and slag, elimination happen faster in a body. Not the least of the factors is the healing effect of infrared wrap on the immune and nervous systems. As a result, the general health index improves and the body’s immunity to any illness as well. It is not easy to enumerate the positive effects of thermotherapy on the body as well as on the psycho-emotional state.

The below comparison will help you appreciate the effectiveness of thermotherapy:
According to medical calculations, 50 min of thermotherapy session burns 900-2400 calories that correlates to 10-15 kilometer run. For the same period of time you burn 500 calories when swimming, 440 calories when playing tennis, and 375 calories when biking.

It is not difficult to conclude that the application of thermotherapy on a regular basis can help you balance your weight, slim your figure, while toning the muscles, and tightening the skin. After one session you can easily loose 1 kg of weight and reduce your waste line by 1-2 cm. It is quite invigorating – your body is actively engaged, purified and getting younger when you lay in a cozy warm wrap!

To achieve even more impressive results, to reinforce the effects and to improve yourself from a health point of view, sessions of thermotherapy are combined with the compression therapy.

Compression Therapy: Choose Youth, Good Spirits and Health

The Art Of Life: Choose Youth, Good Spirit, And Health, Part 2Choose the youth + chose the art of life!!!
Part 2: Choose Youth, Good Spirits and Health!

by Galina Kyreyeva

Part 2: Compression Therapy
Compression therapy is a process of forcing pressure onto a body to stimulate lymph drainage and blood circulation.

For the past few years special systems of compression have been developed and implemented, resulting in healing and preventative treatments taking into consideration the individual data of patients. In the Art of Life Centre two new methods of compression therapy are used; each one consists of a device pumping pressure, a special costume (trousers or boots, jacket or sleeve) and a computer that is individually programmed and controls the whole process. Every part of a costume is divided into several segments (6-12), which according to the program is filled with air, creating a certain pressure and than deflated. This process imitates natural muscle contractions. Splendid! This is one more system, whereby you can improve your health, get younger and increase your body’s energy while resting.

Compression therapy executes two main functions: massage and lymph drainage. Massage is performed as pressing in different parts of the costume in different regimen. Segmental pressing on the body creates the effect of four-handed massage. Besides, segmental pressing is perceived comfortably and less stressful for the body. Lymph drainage is a gradual pressing in costume segments starting from the lower extremities and upwards. You get the sensation of a rolling wave. This procedure influences the activation of lymph and blood circulation throughout entire body, the removal of excess liquid, exchange products and toxins, the eliminating of oedema, the toning up of blood vessels; overall it provides a complex therapeutic effect. We have to note that after a compression session your immune system and stress resistance increase tremendously.

A compression session improves venous blood circulation, activates exchange processes in the skin and fat cells, has spasmolitic and vaso-dilating effects, and cures varicose veins. Because its influence on the body is very gentle, compression therapy is greatly recommended for those patients who cannot perform lymph drainage through electrostimulation, ultrasound, and electrophoresis on muscle tissues.

Compression therapy is recommended as a cure for different kinds of oedema, paralysis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteohondrosis, post traumatic affection, neuralgias, depressions, neurosis, bowel indisposition, prostate problems, men’s impotency and other diseases. It can also help in reducing surplus weight, cellulite, and in shaping the figure.

The combination of compression and wrapping therapies produces amazing results. Before the procedure they put sea weed cream or mask on your skin, then they wrap you in a special cosmetic wrap and finally dress you in a presso-costume resulting in a double effect. The third component of the procedure is rest and pleasant feelings. The psycho-emotional state after the procedure gives one a considerable healing and cosmetic effects. Health, cheerfulness, lightness, and joy of living – these are the feelings after the procedures.

This is the information about only two methods of restoration of your health and good mood that the Art of Life suggests. I would like to tell you more about the special warm atmosphere in the Centre, where you would be able to receive a boost in your energy; tell you about new European equipment in it etc. In a nutshell: the Art of Life enables you to find balance and harmony in thoughts, feelings, and sound body.
If you wish to experience it come and enjoy! You will be glad you did!

References: 07.2000 to date: Regular world-wide use in the polyclinics as a standard therapy
during the Olympic Games and Paralympics in Sidney, Athens and Torino

Enhance your mind, body and spirit with the equipment and technology used by the Olympians.

The Olympic Games is always an extraordinary event in our ordinary life. With joy and tension we watch closely the victories and defeats of our favorite sportsmen. And they, the world best athletes, come to the Olympics with the only one goal to win, using all their physical power and psychological abilities based on their experiences and inner energy reserves, giving everything to reach a desirable victory.

How often do we fall to thinking what does it take to set a record? Not everyone knows about after what kind of trauma recovery or after what kind of pain overcoming, athletes step up on an Olympic arena on which they can perform only once in four years. How tremendously fast they get over multiple and repeated traumas, strained tendon and fractures and at the same time they achieve the best possible results in incredibly stressful and competitive situations.

We sincerely believe that Canadians maintaining a very competitive style of life full of stress, being under the pressure of enormous debts even during their dreams and trying to balance between work and family life, deserve the same effective treatment of illness as the Olympic athletes.

Therefore, celebrating the Olympic Games and supporting our favorite athletes, we would like to underline that the health of the nation is also important for the country as well as breaking Olympic records. Improving the nation’s health could bring us closer to unprecedented achievements in all domains. So, when we were opening our naturopathic Health Centre "The Art of Life", we chose physiotherapeutic equipment that has been reliably applied to European Olympic athletes for more than last ten years. This latest medical technology would help us to achieve Olympic health and an extraordinary success in 'our daily marathon'.

If you feel deserving of it – you are invited to "The Art of Life" Health Centre to try our Olympic medical equipment such as:
Our treatment will allow you to get rid of such "nuisances" as arthritis and heel spurs, tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome, degenerative spinal disc changes and not heeling fractures, chronic pain and fresh wounds, limb swelling of different etiology, cellulites, obesity and many, many other things.

Moreover, we offer you with great pleasure the programs of psychological comfort and stress-reduction, such as mindfulness-based stress reduction program, applied with the great success by the Canadian Olympic team. These programs will help you to transform your tough life marathon into the art of life!

There are no incurable diseases; you just have to choose to be treated!

See you at the Art of Life Health Centre.

Tennis Elbow, Knee Problems, Heel Spurs, Ligamentous Damage, Arthritis

We continue to update you with most recent successful stories. For those who are ready to make the first step to be healed from tennis elbow with Radial Shock Wave Therapy (RSWT), we also would like to present an interview with one of the Centre’s ex-patients:
- Olga, we know that you have received treatments with Radial Shockwave Therapy at The Art of Life Health Centre. How did you find about this Centre and what attracted you to it?
- One of my colleagues at work noticed that I was suffering from pain. When I told her that the pain was caused by tennis elbow, she suggested that I should visit the Art of Life Centre. As it turned out, she had been successfully treated there for the same problem.

- What caused your pain?
- Years of work in front of the computer, mostly under pressure. I was diagnosed with tennis elbow.

- Does it mean that not only athletes may suffer from tennis elbow, but also those people who work at the computer a lot.
- From what I have learned, the pain is caused by calcification of the bone, which puts pressure on the nerve.

- How long did you suffer from this pain? Please describe it, if possible.
- I felt the first symptoms a few years ago, initially only on those days when I was overusing my arm. Slowly the pain got worse until it started preventing me from performing normal every day functions - things like holding a cup in my hand, brushing my hair, holding the wheel while driving the car. The pain accompanied me 24 hours a day and I turned into a constantly annoyed and cranky individual. No doubt, it affected other people around me. I couldn’t relax my hand even at night during my sleep.

- Did you take painkillers?
- I did. And they helped me at first. But when my body got used to the pills, they became useless.

- Once you referred to The Art of Life Health Centre, how long did it take you to recover?
- After the initial assessment at the Centre and when my diagnosis was confirmed by their doctors, I was scheduled for three procedures, 10 minutes each, with one week break between the procedures. A couple of weeks following the last procedure, the pain was completely gone. I would say it took me approximately four weeks to recover.

- How are you feeling now?
- Still cannot get used to live without that pain. Also, I had to learn how to fully use my arm again. It’s been unused for awhile.

Congratulations, Olga! All the best to you and to all the patients of the Centre!

In order to fulfill our promise and keep our patients updated with most recent successful stories we are glad to introduce you some testimonials of our patients, who were treated with Radial Shock Wave Therapy (RSWT) in our Health Centre.
"That is unbelievable! I was suffering from heel spurs in both my feet for more than three years. One month after I started my treatments with Shock Wave Therapy in the Art of Life Clinic I could even dance. I brought my Certificate of the Winner in dancing competitions to show it to the Physiotherapist and other medical staff in the Clinic."

George P.

"I am a salesperson in the "Holt Renfrew" store. Can you imagine how much I was suffering from a heel spur? Each work day was a torture for me. Even after the first treatment with Shock Waves I could work the whole day without painkillers. I was back to active and successful sales right after I finished my treatments. Thank you very much and I highly recommend this centre for unique treatments they have."

Armen K.

"I was very skeptical about the Radial Shock Wave Therapy as a revolutionary treatment for my heel spurs. I already tried every treatment that we have in Canada and nothing helped. Finally I decided to try this last opportunity before agree for the surgery. After three treatments that I got some release of my pain but it did not go away completely. At the beginning of my sessions I was told that I can get the fourth treatment for free. I decided to use this opportunity. Two weeks later I still felt some pain and called my doctor to schedule appointment for the surgery.
One month later I met my friend and she asked me about the results of the Shock Wave Treatments. I was shocked. I did not feel any pain in my heels. I could not even remember when it disappeared completely. Thank you so much practitioners in The Art of Life Health Clinic for their high professional skills and unique equipment that they use."
