Youth for Kids: Classical Music for All Ages

Did you ever find yourself seating at Roy Thomson Hall, enjoying a spectacular classical performance thinking about how you would later try with mere words to convey something so remarkable and inexpressible? How you wished then to share this inspirational moment with your children, friends and family... especially, the children, so that the next generation would be just as inspired as you were at that moment. Inspired to live, to create, to reach for something greater... Have you ever wondered about how it all started for those remarkable talents that pull thousands of people into a massive hall magically transformed by their music? It started with the little decisions you and I make every day: a smile, a word of encouragement, even mere presence.

“Youth for Kids” is a Classical Music Charity Concert, hosted by the Art of Life Community Health Centre, featuring young talents who may one day transform entire music halls into harmony. Wouldn't you want to see how it all started?

The performance will feature young talented students of Faculty of Music from the University of Toronto: Martina Myskohlid (Soprano), Artun Miskciyan (Piano), Jessica Nunes (Clarinet), Jonathan Poenn (Cello), Charlotte Alexander (French Horn), and Evelina Zoubareva (Soprano).

Published by Art of Life Community Health Center on Apr 2, 2013

As you know, on June 1st, 2013, The Art of Life Community Health Centre, in honour of the International Day for the Protection of Children and for supporting programs for gifted children with medical conditions, will be presenting a contemporary music charity concert 'Joined Hands' featuring Naomi Striemer, Efim Pustilnik and Sax Band. The benefit concert will take place in the Musical Hall of Christ Church Deer Park at 7:30 pm.

Below is the Art of Life's Press Release Part One: There Are No Children without Talents

International Day for the Protection of Children and Our Involvement in the Nurturing of Young Talents

When your children are healthy, successful and talented, you, as parents are undoubtedly overjoyed. But, consider the fate of those parents whose child is seriously ill... Of course, they are still grateful for the opportunity to devote themselves to this precious being, becoming, perhaps, his only friends and companions, especially if this child is unable to relate to his peers. Mom and dad will celebrate his every accomplishment, at all art and music lessons, for there are no children who are without talents! We just have to notice and nurture their every spark of creativity, which will lead to a blooming gift.

It is knows that very talented children perceive the world from a unique perspective, reacting to it in a non-standard way, this quality often prevents them from assimilating within their social environment. Their deeply sensitive perception of the world also leaves them extremely vulnerable to it, as the more extraordinary their thoughts and views, the more tension there is between them and their surroundings, and the heavier the stress that falls on their fragile physical and psychological health. However, these are the very children who will determine the course of the future of our planet, and older generations have already recognized the vital importance of these kids providing them with everything in their power on their difficult but crucially important journeys.

Luckily, our own community is not without such enthusiasts, for whom these children are like brightly lit up stars, who can illumine our world, making it brighter and more joyful. We must only not be indifferent this time and extend a helping hand to these children, giving them hope for limitless creative potential!

Each person can find at least a little bit of energy, time and resources to promote the growth of children, to give them, despite an illness, a chance at self-realization, to gain psychological stability, the ability to openly communicate with others and the strength to overcome all inner obstacles. Your help will allow talented individuals to become active members of our future society, offering all of humanity a chance to evolve towards a new level of consciousness.

Healing Influence of Classical Music

The Art Of Life Healing Influence of Classical Music ProgramHealing Influence of Classical Music Program

Dear friends,

We would like to inform you that we started a new healing and development program for children and adults based on the best of classical music.
Meditative Classes: Healing Influence of Classical Music

Unique healing and development program based on the best of classical music for children in different age group and for adults.

Friday at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Free Introductory Class.

Do you know that classical music helps to harmonize and heal your mind and body?
Healing effect of music is known from Ancient Greece. Pythagoras (fl. 530 BCE) considered musical harmony as a microcosm and part of Universe Order. He suggested that the human soul could be perfected through sublimely composed music. Our world is full of sounds, sounds of humans’ hearts, which create a World Symphony. This Symphony can destroy or revive our World.

“When we talk about sound healing, we’re dealing with energy, a power that has the ability to rearrange molecular structure. First, everything is in a state of vibration, from the electrons moving around the nucleus of an atom, to planets and distant galaxies moving around stars. As they’re creating movement, they are creating vibration, and this vibration can be perceived of as sound. Every organ, every bone, every tissue, every system of the body is creating a sound. When we are in a state of health, we’re like an extraordinary orchestra that’s playing a wonderful symphony of the self.” - Jonathan Goldman

Program created in a form of musical story using great variety of classical music themes.

Programs focus on healing influence of music:
  1. Relaxation of peripheral nervous system.
  2. Stress reduction in central nervous system.
  3. Healing influence of music on circulatory system.
  4. Therapeutic influence of music on lymphatic system.
  5. Relaxation of mind; free thoughts of strict predefined complexes and stereotypes.
  6. Stress reduction through elimination of the negative and self-centred emotions.
  7. Changing negative emotions to positive comprehension of our life.
  8. Healing influence of music on bones and joints.
  9. Developing physical and mental co-ordination.
  10. Harmonizing aura. Final class.
Developing elements of musical programs:
  • Development of imagination, creative abilities and realize potential talent.
  • Development of musical taste, intelligent listening and understanding musical logic.
